Another great Old Timers Barbeque Luncheon was put on by the Rotary Club of Paso Robles for a guest list of over 300 "Old Timers."
Each year, The Rotary Club of Paso Robles puts on a grand barbeque luncheon for the beloved "Old Timers" of Paso Robles. This invitation-only event had a guest list of over 300 people this year. To qualify for an invitation, a Paso Roblan must be a resident of Paso Robles for a minimum of 50 years. And every year, Old Timers show up early to get in line and see old acquaintances. Many Old Timers know each other from school!

In the olden days, the Pioneer Day meal was stew and biscuits. The Paso Robles Rotary Club tries to carry on the tradition by inviting eligible Old Timers to the Paso Robles Event Center (Fairgrounds), for a day of socializing and seeing old friends and treated to a steak BB-Q. Vince Vanderlip and Mark Perry have been co-chairmen for many years. It takes many volunteers to pull this off. We have a kitchen crew, a BB-Q crew, bar crew, and other volunteers from Paso Robles Rotary Club to set up and take down the event. We now send out over 900 invitations to our beloved "Old Timers."
