The Club's Early Years

Originally the meetings were held at the Taylor Hotel. In 1929, they moved to the Paso Robles Hot Springs Hotel. At this time, the membership had grown to 36. Meetings returned to the Taylor Hotel in 1931, and after the remodeling of the “new” Paso Robles Inn the meetings returned there in 1942. In 1978, the club required more space, so meetings were moved to the former Joshua’s Restaurant. This was located on the corner of 13th and Vine street.
When Joshua’s Restaurant closed, the meetings moved to the Paso Robles Golf Club. In 2004, meetings returned to the historically renovated Paso Robles Inn Ballroom, where they stayed until the Covid outbreak of 2020. The club was challenged for meetings like all social support groups in that time, zoom, and face time were our new normal. Grateful for the end of COVID restrictions, Paso Robles Rotary is now proud to call the Paso Robles School District Culinary Arts Center our regular meeting location.
The club was incorporated in July 1963. In 1988 Paso Robles Rotary Services Inc was organized as a separate corporation with Tax Free Charitable Organization Status granted by the IRS. Membership remained over 100 throughout the turn of the century.

Women Join the Paso Robles Rotary Club

Paso Robles Rotary started admitting women to membership in 1992 under then president Stuart Ross. Sharon Ross, Vicki Silva, and Sally Davis were among the first women to join the Rotary Club of Paso Robles. Sally Davis was our first female president.
Club Focus

The Rotary Club of Paso Robles is known for their legendary fundraisers, which include the annual Winemakers' Cookoff and annual Golf Tournament. Nonprofits in our community and throughout the world, benefit from Rotary and Rotary Services Inc. One of our longest supported causes is the local Scout Troops. Our club chartered these troops and supported their need for a home, both initially and with recent remodeling.
The club's biggest focus is our community is youth. We support many local youth-focused causes, such as education, family and food insecurity, clothing, homelessness, the arts, literacy, and of course our scholarship foundation.
We are big supporters of scholastic competitions and sports.
